Well, we have some super exciting news to share: in addition to some of the best outdoor lights in San Antonio, new this year at Old West Christmas Light Fest is a cookie decorating class! You can master the art of creating those highly sought after, professional-looking cookies, all while enjoying the lights at Enchanted Springs Ranch (and have a ton of fun in the process)!

The perfect girls’ night or date night event, the new Christmas Cookie Decorating classes at Old West Christmas Light Fest with Sweet Occasions will set you up for cookie success this holiday season. Learn the art of Royal Icing piping and flooding and take home the top secret recipe, so that you can recreate this beautiful icing at home for years to come. And leave the perfect cookies for Santa on Christmas Eve!

Old West Christmas Light Fest makes cookie decorating easy by providing the cookies, baked and ready. You’ll learn all of the pro tips for embellishing these edible art canvases. If you’re a fan of the baking competition shows on TV, you’re sure to get excited at the prospect of learning to make your own works of cookie art at home. Ages 12 and up are welcomed to attend the Cookie Decorating classes and the December 19th class is open to all ages, so be sure to include your young baking enthusiasts in your evening of sweet treats.

Classes will be held the following evenings: December 8 and 19 and begin promptly at 6:30 p.m. Cost for the class is $35 per person AND includes your admission into Old West Christmas Light Fest. Pre-registration is required, so book your class online.

After you’ve created your cookie masterpieces at the Cookie Decorating class, plan to stay and explore all that Old West Light Fest has to offer. You’ll find shopping, food, beer and wine, as well as music every evening.

No visit to Old West Christmas Light Fest is complete without a visit to Santa Claus and his Holly Jolly herd of real, live Texas longhorns! You also don’t want to miss the synchronized musical light show, created by Boerne’s own Hinojosa family, who have caused an internet sensation the past few years with their choreographed musical Christmas light shows set to (among others) the music of Selena, music from the Disney film, “Coco,” and, most recently, everyone’s favorite earworm, “Baby Shark.”
