A glimpse at who will be under the lights at Old West Christmas Light Fest this Sunday, sharing their books and meeting fans:

Jolene Navarro – Jolene’s life, much like her stories, is filled with faith, family, laughter, and all of life’s wonderful messiness in the Texas Hill Country. A seventh generation Texan and bestselling author, Jolene Navarro knows that, as much as the world changes, people stay the same. Good and evil. Vow-keepers and heart breakers. Jolene married a vow-keeper who showed her that dancing in the rain never gets old. She uses her art degree to teach inner city kids about the world and they teach her about life.
But her favorite thing is creating worlds of strong heroes and heroines who find love in spite of the obstacles that life has thrown at them. Jolene writes contemporary and historical stories set in Texas (where else?).

Patricia W Fischer– After working as a waitress in an ice cream parlor, a bartender at a historical Texas restaurant, and a trauma nurse, Patricia W. Fischer earned a journalism degree and wrote for multiple publications including American Journal of Nursing, Hot Moms’ Club, and Chicken Soup for the Mother’s Soul 2. With all that under her belt, she decided to bring the chaos down a notch, get married, have four kids, and write “just one” romance novel. Now working on her tenth book, she’s also the host of Readers Entertainment Radio and has a monthly book picks segment on the morning show, San Antonio Living.

Emily Mims – Author of 42 romance novels, Emily Mims combined her writing career with a career in public education until leaving the classroom to write full time. The mother of two sons and grandmother of three, she and her husband Charles live in central Texas but frequently visit grandchildren in eastern Tennessee and Georgia. She plays the piano, organ, dulcimer, and ukulele and belongs to two performing bands. She says, “I love to write romances because I believe in them. Romance happened to me and it can happen to any woman-if she’ll just let it.”

Sasha Summers grew up surrounded by books. Her passions have always been storytelling, romance and travel–passions she uses when writing. Now a best-selling and award winning-author, Sasha continues to fall a little in love with each hero she writes. From easy-on-the-eyes cowboy, sexy alpha-male werewolves, to heroes of truly mythic proportions, she believes that everyone should have their happy ending–in fiction and real life. Sasha lives in the suburbs of the Texas Hill country with her amazing and supportive family and her beloved grumpy cat, Gerard, The Feline Overlord. She looks forward to hearing from fans and hopes you’ll visit her online.

Pamela Humphrey writes romantic stories rooted in Texas. She is a stay-at-home, homeschooling mom who enjoys many creative outlets: sewing, paper-crafting, jewelry-making, reading, and conversing with imaginary characters (what most call writing). She lives in San Antonio, Texas, with her husband, sons, black cats, and leopard gecko. She also writes as Remi Carrington.

Whether you come out for romance on Sunday or any night the gates are open, Old West Christmas Light Fest features a synchronized musical light show, laser tag in the glow of millions of lights, holiday-themed escape rooms, the man in red and of course, his longhorns ready to fly his sleigh across Texas. With light displays and twinkling fun throughout an Old West town brimming with lights, music, games, activities and flavor at Enchanted Springs Ranch, 242 State Hwy 46 W in Boerne, true Texas holiday fun continues through Christmas. Bring your family, friends and camera: pictures with Santa are always free at Old West Christmas Light Fest and every snap in the lights is a memory you’ll want to keep!
